It’s a pretty interesting and unique site compared to most of our social networking sites we visit daily…
GetGlue was launched in late 2008 by a NYC based company called “AdaptiveBlue.” Since then, it’s really been a bit slow taking off, but I really believe more people should be jumping on the bandwagon for this one. And here’s why.
1. FREE *REAL* STICKERS — The premise of the site is that you “check-in” to what you’re currently doing. No, you don’t say where you are — no creepy stalkers here. You just check in to the entertainment that you’re consuming at the moment. What are you listening to? What are you reading? What are you watching? Discussing? Thinking? It’s all there.
It’s just like on Facebook or Twitter where you say what you’re doing, except here you “check-in.” And, after so many times of doing so, you get a sticker!
